Answer #1

Correct answer:

Stationary phase.

Bacterial growth cycle can be divided into four phase i.e.,

1. Lag phase

2. Log phase

3. Exponential phase

4. Stationary Phase.

When nutrient is limited and cell start dying, during this time secondary metabolites i.e., Antibiotics are produced. This occurs in stationary phase.
