Answer #1

Ans- genotype- the collection of all genes of an organism responsible for the various genetic traits

phenotype- the physical expression of the organism genes

Template strand 5'-GGG-3' transcribed into CCC, which encodes for proline amino acids.

mutate into 5'TGG3' transcribe into 5'CCA3' which also encodes for proline amino acids, so there is no phenotypic change, but due to change in the DNA sequence the genotype will be changed

so option D the organism genotype has been changed, but not its phenotype is the right answer

    7. Open reading frames A protein coding gene includes the following sequence on one of its two DNA strands. Note that this segment (within an exon) does NOT include either the start codon or the stop codon for this gene. However, because five of the six potential reading frames (3 on each DNA strand) in this region include stops, only the true reading frame remains "open" through this segment. Therefore, it is possible to unambiguously decode (translate) this segment of...

Which of these mutations (ie., deletion of 1, 2, or 3 nucleotides) would likely have the LEAST impact on the organism? Why?
