Ans- Na+ can not move freely across the phospholipid bilayer because Na+ is charged molecules or ions and lipid bilayer is impermeable to ions. hydrophobic tails of phospholipid bilayer repeal the ions so transport of ions required transmembrane proteins channels or pumps.

in this question, sodium ions separated into two-compartment A and B  by a phospholipid bilayer . and there is no channel or transporter present in this bilayer so sodium ions can not move from one compartment to another compartment.

so option D it can not move across the bilayer is the correct option.
