Explain how you would integrate the current external environment factors in the health industry. Translate your interpretation into a critical list of action items for a health organization. Develop this list for the organization in terms of a strategic plan, directional strategies, external and internal environment, organizational culture, and any other factors that you deem important for organizational positioning and survival.

Health industry includes parameters like pathogens, diseass, hygiene, treatment etc. In today's world of pollution, lack of awareness, advent of new disease like Corona Virus, SARs,etc., more awareness and alertness are required. Corona has been declared Pandemic by WHO. A pandemic disease is one which spreads over an entire country or the world as a whole. A pandemic didease is always of great concern as many people are affected worldwide. Proper care of the victims is to be taken, isolation to be provided, etc.

Environment factors include cleanliness, proper hygiene and sanitation, reducing pollution, restricting the usage of harmful chemicas which can be mutagens as well. External environment includes outside the home scenario whereas internal environment includes in-house hygiene. An area where garbage is regularly cleared, drainage is taken proper care of, there is no provision of breeding grounds of mosquitos like fresh water collection , dumping of garbages etc.

Any organisation has to be careful as regards the following:

Cleanliness inside and outside the organisation;

Usage of mosquito repellents, pollution masks, personal hygiene;

Individual personal hygiene like that which includes avoidance of open sanitation and safe disposal of garbages and excreta;

any other applicable steps.

As a global organisation, WHO takes every possible care of a new or existing disease. Even the latest COVID-19 which is responsible for Corona Virus has been declared Pandemic. Life threatening disease Small-pox has been eradicated. This is possible due to intense research, scientific development, worldwide campaign and subsequent awareness. The spread of another serious life-threatening disease HIV has been restricted a lot due to mass awareness and adoption of personal hygiene.

People have to be aware of thefollowing;

• Planting more trees which will reduce pollution to a great extent. Pollution is responsible for the diseases of lungs, skin to some extent. Cases of COPD are increasing at a rapid rate.
• Pollution is also responsible for global warming which in other way is responsible for the spread of bacterial diseases.
• Personal and community hygiene is a very important step towards the control of a disease. Diseases like cholera, AGE, diarrhoea, amoebiasis etc are spread due to lack of personal and community hygiene. The Indian Govt. emphasises eradication of open defecation which will be helpful in prevention of spreading of the above diseases.
• Usage of pollution mask, mosquito repellents will also add to the minimisation of diseases like malaria, dengue which are spread due to mosquito bite.

The concerned Government as well as different NGOs have to be good keen observers to the implementation of the policies and guidelines issued by the Governments, agencies and WHO. Strict legal actions have to be enforced in case someone reuses to obey the guidelines.Mass postering, campaign and media broadcast will also help.

Strategic plans include determination of factors responsible for the diseases, frequent visits to those places where the factors originate.

Directional strategies include regular meetings with the concerned governments, health agencies, NGOs,; monitoring the implementations of the decisions taken after the concerned meetings and taking legal actions in case they are not implemented. Besides, the common people are regularly to be made aware of.
