Answer #1

TRUE.

The absorption of chemicals through the skin is done by passive diffusion there is no active transport of these chemicals. Skin has two layers- outer dead layer called epidermis and inner more living layer which includes nerves, vessels and hair follicles. Chemicals enters through the skin by diffusion-concentration gradient. The deposited chemicals on the skin set up the concentration gradient between the outer layer and inner layer of skin and thus enters via diffusion.
