Define the following terms
Explain how the above processes affect proteins' structure?
Definition of post-translational modifications:
The physical or chemical changes that a protein undergoes after the process of protein synthesis (translation) is complete, are called post-translational modificatmodifications.
Post-translational modifications include addition of groups like hydroxyl or phosphate to the protein, proteolytic cleavage, ubiquitylation, etc.
Definition of frameshift mutation:
The kind of mutation in which reading frame of codons in mRNA is alteted due to addition or removal of a nucleotide in DNA.
How the above processes affect protein structure:
Post-translational modifications causes change in folding patterns of protein due to chemical modifications and thus alters it's structure.
On the other hand, frameshift mutation changes the primary sequence of proteins, and since different amino acids have different role to play in protein structure, an altered sequence leads to change in protein structure.

Define each of the following terms used regularly by the major third-party payers, and explain how they are supposed to affect providers' incentives, fees, and overall utilization: a. fee-for-service b. assignment c. capitation d. risk sharing This is for my Healthcare Economics class.
Define & explain the following in economic terms: 1)Economies of Scale/Minimum Efficient Scale 2)How luck (or randomness, or industry instability) can lead to concentrated market structure
Short Explain and tyoe please explain how a single base mutation can have a huge affect on the expression of a gene. Why are most of these mutations devastating for gene expressions? How can they sometimes be beneficial? Use sickle-cell anemia as a case study for answering this question.
a) Define four of the following terms in layman’s terms: 1. DNA 2. Allele 3. Mutation 4. Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) 5. Homozygous 6. Heterozygous 7. Dominant 8. Recessive b)Marfan syndrome is an autosomal ________________ (dominant or recessive?) disorder. Draw a Punnett square showing the potential offspring if mom is heterozygous for Marfan syndrome and dad is homozygous recessive. Circle the affected offspring (the offspring who would inherit Marfan syndrome).
all please
2. Which of the following is an example of posttranslational modification? a. Glycosylation b. Protcolysis c. Palmitoylation d. All of the above 3. The growing polypeptide chain coming off the ribosomal complex is fairly unstable. It has a tendency to fold back on itself and can aggregate with adjacent polypeptides, and these processes, if allowed to occur, would yield degraded, improperly folded, or large aggregates of nonfunctional proteins. How does the cell prevent this from occurring? 4. Transcriptionally...
Place the following mutations, all within the same codon in the open reading frame of a gene, in order from MOST likely to LEAST likely to eliminate the function of the encoded protein. A. A transition mutation in the second position of the codon. B. A transversion mutation in the third position of the codon. C. A transition mutation in the third position of the codon. D. A deletion of one base from the third position of the codon Be...

Explain how a shift in the sales mix can affect the break-even point and net operating income. Please explain with some examples.
Explain how each of the following events affect the supply of loanable funds curve (shift or move): a) [1 point] The economy is in a recession so people's disposable income is lower. b) [1 point] The stock market is booming so the people's wealth is higher. c) [1 point] Fewer college graduates are finding jobs so expected future income is lower. d) [1 point] The real interest rate increases.
Explain how the producer’s ability to shift resources to alternative uses and time affect price elasticity of supply.
