Answer #1

True.

Organisms that do not have Chlorophyll or other Photosynthetic machinery, typically rely on Oxidation of carbohydrates to produce energy. On the other hand, plants, which have both Chloroplasts (containing Chlorophyll) and Mitochondria, produce energy by both means, the oxidation of nutrients and via light-dependent reactions of photosynthesis.

Since AMP can also be hydrolyzed to release energy, why do cells bother to use ATP (which requires the cell to have more phosphate) to power cellular reactions? Question 1 options: a. ATP fits better into enzymes. b. ATP hydrolysis releases more energy than AMP hydrolysis. c. ATP stores for a longer time than AMP. d. Cells have more than enough phosphate, and it serves few roles anyway.

Plants perform photosynthesis because Othey directly fuel all their cells with the high energy molecules (ATP, NADPH) that are energized during the light reactions. they have to create high energy molecules and then they send these molecules to all the parts of the plant that don't photosynthesize (like the roots) o they capture the light energy as ATP and NADPH and then use that energy to form sugar which in turn can be stored or transported to places that need...
