Answer #1

One model is given by Francis crick is Central Dogma.

Formation of DNA copy is called Replication.

Formation of mRNA from DNA is called Transcription and from mRNA to DNA is called Reverse transcription.

Synthesis of protein from mRNA is called tranlation.

Viruses like COVID-19 has genetic material as RNA.So,for the infection they first synthesize DNA from mRNA.This process is called Reverse transcription and the enzyme used called Reverse trancriptase.

In scientists wants to prevent the infection of COVID-19 they first need to check the process of reverse transcription by blocking the activity of Enzyme Reverse transcriptase.
