Answer #1

Cell picture numbered as 1 shows that homologous chromosomes have moved apart and sister chromatids are are not separated. So, this cell picture shows anaphase I stage of meiosis.

Cell picture numbered as 2 shows that sister chromatids have separated and moved to opposite poles. So, this cell picture shows anaphase II stage of meiosis.

Cell picture numbered as 3 shows that presence of paired homologous chromosomes and chromosomes are visible as tetrads. So, this cell picture shows prophase I stage of meiosis.

Cell picture numbered as 4 shows that chromosomes are arranged at equator of cell and micro tubules arising from spindle are attached to homologous chromosomes. So, this cell picture shows metaphase I stage of meiosis.

Cell picture numbered as 5 shows that arrangement of chromosomes at equator of cell and attachment of micro tubules arising from spindle with sister chromatids. So, this cell picture shows metaphase II stage of meiosis.

Cell picture numbered as 6 shows telophase I, which is last stage of meiosis I. This cell picture shows gathering of one set of chromosomes in each of two daughter cells.

Cell picture numbered as 7 shows prophase II, which is the first stage of meiosis II. This stage precedes metaphase II. In this picture, nuclear membrane has disappeared in two daughter cells formed from completion of meiosis I.

Cell picture numbered as 8 shows telophase II. In this picture, four daughter cells are visible and nuclear envelope encloses chromosomes.

Hence, correct order of number of each cell picture to show the sequence of stages in meiosis is 3, 4, 1,6,2,5,7,8.
