Answer #1

Correct Option A: Communication by the nervous system relies on signal transmitted through specialised cells called neurons, while the endocrine system relies on hormones released into blood stream.Communication via nervous system is faster.

Explanation for Incorrect Options:

Nervous system has a special cells called neurons. Neurons transmit signal from one neuron to other neuron, cells, glands and muscles.

In endocrine system, specialised cells secrete hormones into bloodstream which carry them to its target tissue or cells.

Because neurons are connected to each other and many neurons very long, it can transmit signal very fast. It is highly sensitive to neuron excitatory signal. Hormones need to be carry away by blood in circulation, travel through vessels and narrow tissue spaces. Therefore it takes longer time to reach signal compare to neurotransmission.
