According to the evolutionary theory death is considered as important factor for natural selection. The organisms or cells which produce only few offsprings and if they are less adapted to environment then they will not able to contribute in gene pool in a good way. And the survival of the fitest is important as the resources are limited so death of the organisms who are less adapted will favour the evolution.
