1. The genotype of the P generation or parental generation would be Rr x Rr. This is a typical Mendel cross that give rise to 1:2:1. Please check the options as none of them is correct.

2. Meiosis is a reduction division , so the number of chromosomes are halved after the end of meiosis and one cell gives rise to four haploid daughter cells. It is normally done in gonads for the donation of eggs and sperm. In contrast , Mitotic cell division is equational division giving rise to two diploid daughter cells.

3. an egg has half the number of chromosome as a normal diploid cell. So the number of chromosomes in a skin cell would be 48.

4. DNA polymerase is used for creating polymers of DNA. It is very important enzyme used in DNA replication where a new DNA strand is formed. DNA polymerase catalyse the formation of phosphodiester bonds between two nucleotides.

5, the process of transferring genetic information from RNA to a protein is called translation. As the name suggests the information is being translated from nucleotides to peptides, it is carried forward by ribosomes and several other enzymes.
