Hi class, We've recently talked about the different states of energy that our body is constantly transferring to and from. Our body naturally produces energy in the form of ATP from the food that we ingest. It takes in the high energy content from the macromolecules and converts that into small, less complex molecules that carry out other functions. Energy drinks have been around since the 1960's to help improve concentration and energy. Energy drinks can have both positive and negative effects on the body. What do you think about energy drinks? Energy drinks are energy boosting drinks tht people consumes inorder to increase their alertness, concentration and energy. Some of the ingredients used for making this energy drinks were caffeine, taurine, herbal extract and vitamins. Im my opinion i think energy drinks have both negatives and positives. Some of them were listed below.

First we can consider the positives:

1.Have only standardized amount of caffeine only.

2.It can available in lot of flavors.

3.It can acts as an additional supplement.

4.It is a refreshing drinks

5.It is convinent

Now let as consider the negatives:

1.It uses a lot of sugar.

2.It is costly.

3.It's combination with alcohol leads to health issues.

4.Energy drinks are not good for children.

5.consumption of caffeine in large amount can increase heart rate.
