12.a) 1/2 is the probability of offspring have mid digital hair.

That is there are FfMm, ffMm shows mid digital hair.

b) from the punnet square it was clear that there is only one genotype in each row which have no freckles.

So the desired probability=1/8

That is 1/4 is the probability of each offspring and 1/2 is the probability of having no freckles in a row. So desired probability is just multiplication of them.
