Answer: Attitudes are our opinion or feeling towards the object, project & situation. Attitude can be inferred from the behaviour. Attitude is study of relationship between attitude & behaviour. There are three component to attitude Affective component, Cognitive component and Behaviour component. Affective component means emotion& feeling. It means emotion & feeling about particular product, Brand etc Affective component is combination of emotionally charge feeling such as shame, disgust, happiness sadness, distress, anger, surprise or guilt etc These emotional state may enhance or amplify the positive or negative experiences. These experience may influence the how individual act in particular situation For example: because service centre was near my home, I purchased Honda bike. But How I feel about Honda bike may be different. This is because of affective component of attitude. Cognitive component means knowledge & perception that is developed because of combination of direct or indirect experience or related information from different sources. This knowledge & perception take form of belief & these belief lead to speci fic behaviour with specific outcome For example Car designer belief that customer buy car from his showroom because of flexibility to customise, fuel y. This attribute lead to specific behaviour In above example, person purchased Honda car because the service centre was near to home Behavioural component is likelihood or tendency of person that will take specific action or behave in particular way with regard to product, brand, advertisement, situation, attitude etc. This behavioural component is very strong It is developed through past experience, peer group experiences, very strong affective component with family. If this component become strong, it is very difficult to change. Behavioural component can be directly observed For example. Some person may not like certain flavour of Ice cream. This is his belief & show specific behaviour by not taking ice cream.
