Answer #1

What enzymes catalyze the metabolism of the amino acids cysteine and tryptophan?

In the case of cysteine, there are four main enzymes involved on its metabolism

•Cysteine dioxygenase

•γ-glutamyl-cysteine synthetase

•Cysteine-sulfinate decarboxylase

•Aspartate aminotransferase

On the other hand, the main enzymes involved in the tryptophan metabolism is the tryptophan oxygenase and the tryptophan pyrrolase which is also called Tryptophan dioxygenase
