Ans 4:- Bird migration is the regular seasonal movement, often north and south between breeding and wintering grounds. Migration carries high costs in predation and mortality including hunting by humans and also depends on the availability of food. Genetic correlations plays an important role in determining the rate and direction of evolutionary change. Cross breeding of migrants with nonmigrants has resulted in the partial transmission of migratory activity. A population of birds in Alaska is migrating to Russia, which is studied depending on the genetic variation. There would be dramatic change in gene frequency, which leads to extremely rapid evolutionary changes to occur in migratory behaviour.
