B=Large b=small

Cr=red, Cw=white, Cm=marbled

If the first P1 is Small Red and Small White with the results 225 Small Red, and the second is Small Marbled and Small Marbled with the results 150 Small Marbled, and 51 Small Red. I need to find the phenotype and genotype for the two crosses. The marbled is throwing me.

The case 1 is a simple mendelian cross for two un-linked genes showing independent assortment, giving a F1 population of small-red. Thus, the phenotype is same for the whole population and genotypic ratio is 1:1. This also suggests that Red is dominant over White.

The case 2 suggests that Marbled is dominant over White. The ratio between the two (150:51) comes out to be 3:1, i.e. the phenotypic ratio in second case. This is also a case of mendelian pattern of inheritance for which phenotypic ratioi is 3:1 and genotypic ratio is 1:2:1.
