Answer #1

Answer:-

  • Loose connective tissue proper having fewer fibres and large amount of matrix, viz., areolar, adipose.
  • Fibrous connective tissue also called dense connective tissue having extensive fibres and smaller amount of matrix, viz. white fibrous tissue, yellow elastic tissue, ligament, tendon, reticular tissue.
  • Cartilage:- It is variously semirigid supportive or skeletal connective tissue in which the matrix is solid and made of mucoprotein called chondrin. Fibres may or may not be clear. Matrix is secreted by chondroblasts. Cartilage cells are called chondrocytes.
  • Bone:- It is the hardest tissue ( hardest substance is enamel of teeth) of the body which forms endoskeleton in vertebrates with the exception of certain fishes. Bone consists of a rigid solid matrix, indistinguishable fibres and bone cells called osteocytes.

    3) Connective tissue types can be categorized by the extracellular matrix that the cells excrete. What types of extracellular substances will you observe during lab? Connective tissues: These tissues vary greatly but consist mainly of cell products. The most common ke cell product is collagen, a tough glycoprotein occurring in fibers so large they must be assembled outside the cell. Connective tissues are also subdivided into different types (e.g., loose, dense, II. fibrous, non-fibrous) but due to their complexity we...
