Answer #1

Scabies is caused by a mite called Sarcoptes scabiei. The answer is option 4 A mite.

Scabies is not a disease but an infestation. In the outer layers of human skin tiny mites called Sarcoptes scabiei set up shop. The skin isn't taking the attack kindly. As the mites burrow and lay eggs inside the skin, itching and angry rash contribute to the infestation.
