Answer #1

The terms from broadest to narrowest of genetic components are-

F1 Generation- Genome- Homologous pair- Chromosome- Gene- Allele- Nucleotide

F1 generation is the most inclusive as first set of offsprings which are observed during reproduction. So these offsprings must contain their own genetic material through which they have undergone to form gametes that took them towards the formation of offsprings.

Now offsprings have their own genome, means all their DNA is termed as genome.

This genome must have DNA in form of condensed chromosomes and a homologous pair of chromosomes consists of chromosomes which are derived from both the parents.

Now comes the chromosomes which are separated or occur as a structure that contains genetic material. They are present in both parents separately.

Any piece of chromosome which contains DNA is said to gene. Gene is the particular chunk of genetic material that will determine a particular trait.

Alleles are the form of genes or they are various forms of genes. One gene could have many possible alleles.

Nucleotide are the structure which is make up the basic component of DNA or RNA. Means Nucleotide consists of sugar, nucleoside, and a phosphate group.
