Answer #1

Left box : ATP and water is produced , so this is a catabolic pathway where 1). Organic molecules are broken into sub units.

2). This is an enzymatic process and there is change in the shape of target molecules

3). Energy is released and part of it is stored in the form of ATP. So this is a exergonic reaction.

Right box : ATP and water is used . This is anabolic process. 1). Shape of the target molecules is changed, as it is an enzymatic process.

2). This is a synthesis process where smaller molecules are polymerized to form complex compounds. Hence, there is building of polymers.

3). ATP is used in the process which is a source of energy, so it is an endergonic process. ATP converts into ADP and phosphate.

# Left box - Respiration process

Glucose + ADP + O2 -----------> CO2 + ATP + H2O

# Right box - Photosynthesis process

CO2 + H2O + ATP -----------> Carbohydrates + ADP + P

The first formed carbohydrate is glucose which later polymerize to form disaccharides or polysaccharides.
