Generation of VSB - Step 1 - Generation of DSB-SC , by using product modulator and band pass filter.

Step2- Using Vestigial Side band filter in the output of Step 1, the output will be VSB.

Advantages Disadvantages
FULL AM simple construction of receiver and transmitter high bandwidth
DSB-SC no carrier , only message signal present extra side band (two side band of same type)
SSB Bandwidth is less Complexity in Construction of transmitter and receiver
VSB used for video transmission bandwidth is more as compared to SSB
