Solution-

Part-A-  

Its works by inhibiting replication of viral nucleic acid.

Explanation- This drugs inhibits reverse transcriptase enzyme which virus use to copy DNA of its RNA. After inhibiting this enzyme blocks the processes of viral transcription as viral transcription is inhibited no further infection is possible. More over this drugs is used as addon therapy with conventional anti-retroviral drugs.   

This drugs does not have any use on prevention of virus release from infected cell, making of capsid proteins, or binding with host cell because AZT is only works on Reverse Transcriptase enzyme, but this particular enzyme does not have any role on other function like release of virus from host cell, or production of capsid or attachments with host cell or uncoating of nucleic acid.
