Answer: First listed diagnosis: While in Medical coding the first listed diagnosis is used for the main diagnosis which confirms the disease or reason of illness. The first listed diagnosis of the disease is mentioned first, after that other complications are mentioned.

Principal diagnosis: Principal diagnosis is the study and the observation performed after the patient is being admitted to the hospital.

Secondary diagnosis: It is the diagnosis used in ICD as the causes or the reason of the secondary disease or complications.

Principal procedure: Principal procedure includes the main treatment of the disease which has been diagnosed. It consists of focus on the major treatment procedures.
