It is common knowledge that employees are a necessary part of any business. Identify three best practices in the user domain and suggest the control type(s) (technical or manual) that are best suited to monitor each best practice.

Employees are an integral part of a business in an organization. Such that employees also have some best practices guidelines by the organization which they should follow in order to ensure the smooth flow of business. Adhering to these business rules will make it easy for the business to flow and efficient process. Some of these best practices that are expected from employees are:

a) Take own responsibility for you professional and career development - Employees should take own responsibility along with the company for own development of skills and career development while they are working with the company. They should try to keep themselves updated with the latest trend and technologies and should have adequate knowledge of the current scenarios. Control types in this scenario would be the individual's growth and knowledge relative to time spent at the company.

b) Complete any development plan and work assigned to you and raise alert if some issue crops up ask for support - Employees should complete the development plan and work according to the work assigned to them and target completion of the work in time. There may be multiple issue while work is in progress and also post that, employees should look and ask for support from correct teams and individuals. Control type in this scenario would be the completion of the work assigned to the employee and when does one need support.

c) Feedback is important towards work and appreciations are important - Feedback in between teams, individuals and employees is important to ascertain the work done and the work that was expected to be done and how it was expected to be done. Similarly, there should be enough scope between the organization for the employees to appreciate individuals and teams for the work done. Control type is the feedback and appreciation shared by employees and teams to each other.

When choosing a software or hardware or any product for that matter, we should ascertain certain factors which are important and relevant to our requirements.

While evaluating and selecting the information technology hardware or software we have to keep in mind the requirements of the business and then select the required hardware or software. The requirements of the business should be handled by the hardware or software that you want to select.

We have to go through the above process of selecting a product while trying to evaluate and select information technology hardware or software rather than hardware or software that offers "bells and whistles.". This is because bells and whistles means features which maybe expensive and not needed to fulfill the current requirements
of the business.

Also, we should note that factors such as physical security, device type, and open source software do have the impact on the choices that are made as these define the security requirements of the business process, the device type that we are looking to accommodate in the system and also in case of open source software - the budget constraints and affordability and the business requirements of the features, if they are or not supported by the open source software.
