Structure of the lymphatic system Complete the following statements about the lymphatic system structure. Not all choices wil

Lymph and lymphatic system

Some of the tissue fluids is reabsorbed in to bloods vessels, but most of it enters another set of minute channels named as lymph vessels, upon entering lymph vessels the fluid is known as lymph.

Right lymphatic duct opens into right subclavian vein (near shoulder) and thoracic duct opens into left subclavian vein.

Lymph flows in one direction from the body to heart.

There are 2 types of lymphoid organs primary and secondary , primary lymphoid organs are bone marrow and thymus

.RBC’s and lymphocytes are made in bone marrow whlist B lymphocyte mature in bone marrow and T lymphocyte differentiate mature in Thymus.

Secondary lymphoid organs include spleen, tonsils, and appendix. They are lymphoid organs which are sites of lymphocyte activation by antigens.
