Watch the TED talk by historian Rutger Bretman on why we should provide a universal basic income.
He includes slides with lists, bar graphs, photos, quotes, and
maps. How well would you have been able to follow his speech
without the visuals? (You might want to try just listening to the
audio without watching the screen.) Which of the image types (list,
bar graph, photo, map) was the most helpful to you? Why?
I really liked Rutger Bretman's speech on universla basic income. I did notice all the graphs he had incorporated to make his data visually presentable. These visuals always grab the eye balls no matter what the occasion is. They make us get deep inside the time and start to imagine that things were for real. Ofcourse we can understand those graphs which have legends, labels and other tags associated to them but it requires us to be clear in what we want. Sometimes we cannot comprehend the cost and things become overlapping. I liked the bar graph which had a split of various percentages and one can see it crystal clear no matter what we say.
