9. Accessing a shared files from Mac OS X client:
In Mac book open the finder and open the menu at top of the screen and from there connect to the server. Enter the computer local IP address. or you can also enter the computer name like name: smb:/COMPUTERNAME.

10. Accessing an SMB share with linux machines. This can be done only when the server is in windows machine or samba server. It provides ftp-like command line interface. By this you can transfer files between windows server and linux client. In a given host to check the available shares
