Answer #1

Solution :

Lets begin by understanding ionic and covalent bonding so,

Ionic bond is form between cations and anions of opposite charge linked towards by electrostatic force of attraction between the atoms. Such as Na+ and cl-.

Explanation:

whereas covalent bond is formed by sharing of electrons between the atoms to complete its octet.

When two ions of opposite charge comes closer to each other cation losses its electron and anion part gains the electron as they both acquire opposite charge so somehow this lead to deficiency of electron for cationic part and its start attracting the electron from anionic part as a result the cationic part shifts towards the anionic part which results into sharing of electron between them and liitle covalent character devlops between them because of difference of high electronegativity between the cation and anion which lead to partial covalent and partial ionic character between the molecules, the best example is hydrogen fluoride which have both ionic and covalent character.
