This is a competitive inhibition because in this example, both the substrate and the inhibitor molecule have same shape to that they will make a competition to bind with active site of the enzyme. Also, the both bind to the same site which is active site. In the allosteric inhibition and activation, the substrate and inhibitor do not resemble in their shape and also inhibitor bind to the different site in the enzyme . Hence, option A is correct.
