The Louisiana Purchase was the Louisiana territory acquisition from the France by the United States in 1803. United States paid 68 million francs for this process. This territory contains Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkanas, Lowa, Kanas and North Dakota, a portion of the River Mississippi, a portion of the North Dakota and South Dakota, north-eastern region of the New Mexico, Minnesota Colorado, Nebraska Wyoming, northern Texas and Canadian provinces of Alberta.
