Sol.

Balanced chemical reaction of NBS , C4H4BrNO2 with Ascorbic acid , C6H8O6 :

C4H4BrNO2 + C6H8O6 -----> C6H6O6 + C4H5NO2 + HBr  

As Volume of NBS = 100 mL = 100 / 1000 L = 0.100 L

Molarity of NBS = 0.100 M

So , Moles of NBS added at the equivalence point

= Molarity of NBS × Volume of NBS

= 0.100 M × 0.100 L

=   0.010 mol  

From reaction ,

Moles of Ascorbic acid would be neutralized

= Moles of NBS added at the equivalence point

=   0.010 mol
