There is a forest ecosystem close to my place. I live in Jawaharlal Nehru University of Delhi (India) and the university is full of forest region. There is a place close to my hostel which was a forest and a lake till now but since last year, they (administration) have started planning to build a hostel here due to increase in capacity of students coming to the campus every year. Thus, they have cleared the forest and the lake is ruined due to eutrophication since all the waste has been thrown into it as it used to be hardly visited by anyone for last few months as it is isolated now and if someone wants to visit the lake, he has to cross this big building and then have to walk more (because the short cut has been occupied). Hence I am worried that whole ecosystem will be ruined soon. Lots of peacocks used to come here but they have stopped coming now. If they clear whole campus like this, we won't be able to see the greenery around us.
Secondly, due to increase in temperature due to climate change, the water in lake is getting depleted and many forests are also dying due to high temperature. In fact I am afraid of any sort of forest fire in the region. The birds which were migratory in nature and used to come to the lake crossing Siberia have stopped coming now due to high temperature and we hardly see them now. Since they (peacocks and Siberian birds) do not eat fishes in lake, it is lacking in oxygen also now due to eutrophication.

(a) decrease blowfish abundance; maintain fluke abundance (b) decrease tern abundance; maintain osprey abundance 6. What might happen to a given ecosystem if the top carnivore biomass decreased due to disease? Why 7, why is a more complex ecosystem (ie., greater number of pathways) probably more stable than a simple ecosystem? We were unable to transcribe this image
