The skin is the largest organ of body .The skin protect from microbes and elements , helpregulate body temperature and permitsthe sensation of touch heat and cold .

skin has three layer The epidermis , dermis and deeper subcutaneous tissue is made of fat and connective tissue .

The epidermis does not contain blood vessels ,blood capillariesare present in the dermis and epidermis is nourished by the blood vessels present upper layer of dermis .

The main vessels of dermis are septocutaneous or fasciocutaneous and musculocutaneous perforators .The network

of vessels arises from main vessels .The cutaneous vessels travel within the connective tissue framwork and supply branches to each tissue with which they come into close contect to bone muscle ,fascia ,nerve and fat .They emerge from the deep fascia in the vicinity of the intermuscular or intermuscular srpra or near tendons and trvel toward the skin ,where they form extensive dermal plexuses.The dermis contain horizontally arranged superficial and deep plexuses .The dermis contain horizontally arranged suprficial and deep plexuses which are oriented perpendicular to the skin surface .

Termoregulation

The main function of skin is thermoregulation . The process of skin based thermoregulation occurs through several means .The first way involvescthe abundence of bloid vessels found in the dermis , the middle layer of th skin . If the body must dool down the vasodilates these blood vessels .
