Calculate Geq in the circuit of following figure:
Please give the solution ASAP.
We know that, the equivalent conductance Geq of N resistors in series: 1/Geq = 1/G1 + 1/G2 + 1/G3 + ..... + 1/GN
AND the equivalent conductance Geq of N resistors in parallel: Geq = G1 + G2 + G3 + ..... + GN
Here, G4 and G5 are in series. ∴1/Gs1 = 1/G4 + 1/G5 = 1/6 + 1/12 = 4S
G1 and G2 are in parallel. ∴ Gp1 = G1 + G2 = 8 + 4 = 12S
G3 and Gs1 are in parallel. ∴ Gp2 = G3 + Gs1 = 2 + 4 = 6S
Gp1 and Gp2 are in series. ∴1/Gs2 = 1/Gp1 + 1/Gp2 = 1/12 + 1/6 = 4S
∴ Geq = Gs2 = 4S [Ans.]
please explain that, compile it and give me a solution as
