Social learning theory suggests that people would observe, imitate and reproduce the behaviours they witness. Media as one of the most powerful tools available has the power to influence people and their attitudes and behaviours to a great extent. When people consume violent and content that has criminal activities, they would be motivated to engage in such acts for the thrill of the action and also the benefit or the profit such actions brings. Today, children and adolescents consume lots of media that has violent acts, criminal activities, sexual contents that would influence them to a great extent thus leading them to engage in those acts that they learn through movies, videogames etc. due to their inability to make decisions and their risk-taking behaviours.
