Explanation:- Bacteria obtains energy from nitrification. Nitrification is a biological oxidation of ammonia or ammonium to nitrite. The bacteria which are used for this process are called as the nitrifying bacteria. These are nitrosomonas, nitrococcus, nitrobacter etc. These bacteria get the energy by oxidation of inorganic nitrogen compounds.
