Some companies sell open source software, such as Linux. Thousands of people buy the software rather than download it free of charge. Why? Would you buy such software or simply download it from the Web? State your rationale.

Thousands of people buy the software rather than downloading it though downloading also provides many benefits, but by paid software such a Linux, people get stunning UX design, upstream bugfixing and excellent marketing. Which they may find difficult in open source and free software. There are important value add ons when we by a software rather than downloading it for free. It needs expertise to use and needs bug fixing whenever there is a need.

I would by a software because of the added values and extra benefits it comes with which cannot be granted through a free open source software. I really want a good interface and a software which will be compatible to almost all the program and run without much issue.
