What actually goes into providing the food we eat? As we all know, food doesn't just appear on our tables. At one extreme it can come from local growers, and on the other extreme, it is processed, and many additives and preservatives are added to make the final edible product. Discuss any aspect of food production, whether it is agrobusiness, genetic modification of food, food additives and processing.

Genetically modified food is food produced from plants or animals whose DNA has been altered through genetic engineering .these genetically modified organisms are often called GMOs for short. there's no one genetic type of the modified organisms. Genetic engineering is a tool that can be used for a variety of of purposes. The agribusiness system pathway includes occupation involved in the coordination of all activities that contribute to the production,processing,marketing,distribution,financing and development  of agricultural commodities , plants and animal products,and other natural resources ,Most of the corn and soy grown in the US has been genetically modifies to be resistant to herbicides,so that it's easy to spray field with weed killer. Other crop have been modified to withstand pests. but genetic engineering could conceivably help create crops that can survive drought, or help produce food that's more nutritious. Food additives can be divided into several groups,although there is some overlap between them.Acids:food acids are added to make flavors "sharper", and also act as preservatives and antioxidants .Common food acids include vinegar, citric acid, tartaric acid,Malic acid ,Fumaric acid,and lactic acid *Acidity regulators: acidity regulators are used to change or otherwise control the acidity and alkalinity of food . *Anticaking agents: its keep powder such as milk powder from caking and sticking. *Antiformic agent : Reduce or prevent from foaming in foods.*Antioxidants : Antioxidant such as vitamin C act as preservatives by inhibiting the effects of oxygen on food, and can be beneficial to the health  *Food coloring :coloring are added to food to replace colors lost during preparation * Sweetners: they are added to food for flavoring, other than sugar are added to keep the food energy(calories) * Thickeners: it is substance that added to mixture and increase its viscosity without substantially modifying its properties
