explanation : we have given data , that - a transition metal with a +3 charge consisting of 23 electron.

So that may be , iron Fe ,which in ground state has 26 electron but Fe^3+ has 23 electrons. Also,

The anion should be non metal that has -2 charge, having 18 electrons., That may be sulfur because it is non metal ,and it has 16 electron in ground state and 18 electrons in S2- state,

Now we do cross multiplication,and we shall find the formula of that compound is Fe2S3.
