2) RAND's mission is to help policymakers make decisions that are based on the best available information.

4) RAND research is sponsored by U.S. government agencies; U.S. state and local governments; non-U.S. governments, agencies, and ministries; international organizations; colleges and universities; foundations; professional associations; other nonprofit organizations; and industry.

5) RAND's research and analysis address issues that impact people around the world including security, health, education, sustainability, growth, and development. Much of this research is carried out on behalf of public and private grantors and clients.
