Answer #1

The ordered pairs, called polar coordinates, are in the form (r,θ), with r being the number of units from the origin or pole (if r>0), like a radius of a circle, and θ being the angle (in degrees or radians) formed by the ray on the positive xaxis (polar axis), going counter-clockwise. If r<0, the point is units (like a radius) in the opposite direction (across the origin or pole) of the angle θ. If θ<0, you go clockwise with the angle, starting with the positive xaxis.

So, required coordinates are (7,45°) or (7,π/4) because π/4 = 45°

Can somone show me how to do the 1st problem? Need to find the LS and SS for the fit and the LH and SH for the hole. Fits are all SHAFT BASIS METRIC but the shaft and hole diameters can not be used right out of the table. This is because the 3mm shaft tolerance does not match. You will need to lookup the "Fit" from the table, and then use the LS (Largest Shaft) and SS (Smallest Shaft)...

Forecasting labour costs is a key aspect of hotel revenue management that enables hoteliers to appropriately allocate hotel resources and fix pricing strategies. Mary, the President of Hellenic Hoteliers Federation (HHF) is interested in investigating how labour costs (variable L_COST) relate to the number of rooms in a hotel (variable Total_Rooms). Suppose that HHF has hired you as a business analyst to develop a linear model to predict hotel labour costs based on the total number of rooms per hotel...
