Digestion with pepsin produce divalent F(ab')2 fragment and small peptides of Fc fragment. This divalent antigen binding site binds it's antigen with high affinity.

Whereas digestion with mercaptoethanol produce two identical heavy chain and two light chain . Digestion with papain result in two seperate fragments of antigen binding site.
