Power output when Lindsay climbs a ladder = \small P_{L}

Power output when Brian climbs the same ladder = \small P_{B} = \small 2P_{L}

\small Power = \frac{Total \ change \ in \ energy}{time}

Given, time taken by both of them is same = t

Lindsay's total change in energy = \small \Delta E_{L} = P_{L}*t

Brian's total change in energy = \small \Delta E_{B} = P_{B}*t = 2P_{L}*t

= \small \Delta E_{B} = 2\Delta E_{L}
