Lichen a symbiotic association between fungus and algae. The fungal partner is called the mycobiont and the algal partner is called the phycobiont.
The fungal partner provides shelter to the algal partner by covering the algal cells with their filaments. They also help the algal partner to to absorb nutrients and water from the ground. They also help in the attachment of algae to the substratum.
The algal partner is photosynthetic and synthesizers Sugars which are shared with the fungal partner as well.
To summarise, algae provides food to fungus and fungus provide shelter to algae.

The chytrid, Botarachochytrium dendrobatidis is hypothesized to be the causative pathogen responsible for large declines in amphibian populations. How could Koch's postulates be used to test the hypothesis that chytrid infections are responsible for frog deaths.

the biological concept of unity and diversity can be illustrated by comparing and contrasting fungi protists and plants your task is to provide two specific examples of unity across all three of the Kingdom how I.e (how they are all united) and 2 specific examples of diversity (i.e what things differ between them) your response to be detailed and focused on traits involved in reproduction modes of nutrition, structure. Be sure to include examples of organisms from each kingdom in...
