Answer #1

Dear Student,

The Burgess Shale is very famous for it's exquisite fossils especially the fossils of soft-bodied animals. It i important to note that mostly only hard fossils are found, however in the Burgess Shale there are fossils of animals with soft tissues and no mineralized structure. Thus, it is of great importance. Burgess Shale is known to have exceptional fossils of complete animals preserved.

Therefore The Burgess Shale is a formation in which fosils are found that preserve examples of organisms found in the carboniferous marine communities.

Thank you!

Please leave a thumbs up.
