ANS- Resource loading means the allocation of manpower to specific tasks in a project. An employee is allocated 25% of the work at first and thereafter when it reaches 100% it means that employee cannot take additional work afterwards. Resource loading helps the project manager to predict how much additional employees will be needed to do a particular work. It helps the project manager to know how much each employees have worked and based on this tasks are assigned to them.
Resource loading differs from resource leveling in the sense that while resource loading is related with manpower that whether additional manpower is required or not to do a particular work, resource leveling is related with allocation of resources so that the project gets completed on time. In resource leveling it is seen whether the resources have been used efficiently and to solve conflicts if any arises because of over allocation of resources.
Critical chain is a method by which a project can be completed ahead of time. The project schedule can be modified with the help of critical chain depending upon the requirements of the specific project. It takes into account the limited resources which is available and shortens the project duration. With the help of critical chain productivity can be improved as things can be done faster.
