We have,

= 25.7 / 10 = 2.57

s = 1.145

n = 10

df = 10 - 1 = 9

t /2,df = 2.896

Margin of error = E = t/2,df * (s /n)

= 2.896 * (1.145 / 10)

Margin of error = E = 1.05

The 98% confidence interval estimate of the population mean is,

2.57 - 1.05 < < 2.57 + 1.05

1.52 < < 3.62
