Answer

  • cytokinins is a plant growth hormone helps in the cell division and inhibit the senescence
  • cytokinin is rich in the growing tissue and meristematic region.
  • chemical modifications of adenine present in the root synthesise cytokinine and then translate then to the shoots via xylem.

Process of biosynthesis of cytokinins (kinetin) from adenine

  • kinetin is a cytokinins autoclaved from the DNA. It is an adenine derivative (6-furfurylaminopurine)
  • kinetin is a byproduct of heat induced degradation of  DNA.
  • Kinetin is obtained by dextrose sugar of adenosine is converted to a furfuryl ring and that shifted from the 9th position to the 6th position on the ring of adenine.

Hope it will helpful to you. Thank you
